Rigs & BBQ – Plus Trail Rides

Join us Saturday, May 20, 2023 from Noon-3pm at the Rack Attack DC Grand Opening, located at 3501 Carlin Springs Rd, Bailey’s Crossroads, VA 22041. Immediately following this event, we’ll convoy out west to the area of Woodstock, Virginia to grab supplies and passes, then hit Tasker’s Gap, which is an easy beginner trail. If you’ve been wanting to get off road and want to tackle something a little tamer just to get a feel for things, this is a perfect chance! Any stock 4wd vehicle should have no issues, but please make sure your vehicle is in good working order and you have at least a full size spare tire. Following that, we’ll head about 90 seconds up the road to the Peter’s Mill Run parking lot and set off for an evening/night run.

We’ll plan to stop at some point on the trail to eat (bring your own packed food) and there is no set end time. Dispersed camping is allowed in the George Washington National Forest, and there is camping available just off the trail at Little Fort Campground (free) or about 15-20 minutes down the road is Elizabeth Furnace Campground (paid). Both campgrounds are first-come, first-served.
